What amenities do you have at Whitewater RV Park?2020-02-06T22:12:52-06:00

We are working feverishly to bring Whitewater RV Park up to date, but we have already given some love to the amenities that already exist on the property. Here is a list of the amenities we currently have:

  • The Pit Place – our possum-cooker style community firepit
  • The Gathering Place – open-air gazebo for those perfect picking days
  • The Picking Shed – under construction as of February 2020, but will be ready by spring
  • Bathhouse – his and hers sides two showers and two loos for each
  • Laundromat – for that extra-long stay, we have a coin-operated laundromat
  • Picnic Tables – we are working on plans to get picnic tables at each site, until then, we can borrow from nearby sites if needed.
  • Pull-through sites
  • 30 and 50 amp sites
  • Tent and popup sites
What is there to do near Whitewater RV Park?2020-02-06T21:40:09-06:00

Besides only being three blocks north from town square, there is a city park practically in our backyard that has a walking track, disc golf course, playground, multiple picnic areas, city pool, sand volleyball pit, soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, and a beautiful stone amphitheater. There is also a nature trail that starts in our backyard that leads all the way to the Ozark Folk Center which is just a few short blocks north of Whitewater RV Park.

Why are your prices different than the previous owner’s?2020-01-23T00:25:14-06:00

We did decide to raise the rates by a couple of dollars a night. We have done this to help us offset the cost of updating and renovating Whitewater RV Park. As our regular campers know, the park was in need of many updates. We are working hard to see to it that these are done as efficiently and affordably as possible. Updates have already been made all over the campgrounds including work on the bathhouses, plumbing, electrical systems, a complete office overhaul, and we are now working on the picking shed.

Can I play my instrument with other people?2019-11-07T05:32:27-06:00

ABSOLUTELY! Bring your instrument and find a circle to join! The musicians in town often play together, but always welcome one more in their groups. The song selection is usually chosen going clockwise in the circle.

What is there to do in Mountain View?2019-11-07T05:28:13-06:00

If you’ve never been to Mountain View, Arkansas, you’re in for a treat! The main attraction here is the folk music that is played day and night in the town square and picking park. Check out this blog post for more things to do: https://homeiswherewetakeit.com/mountain-view-activities/

Why do you charge for extra people per campsite?2020-01-23T04:30:43-06:00

Our prices are based on two people per campsite. As you can imagine, the more people that are on a campsite, the more it costs us to host them as more campers use more electricity and water. All we ask in return is that you pay $2 extra for each person per day.

What payment types do you accept?2019-11-07T05:19:44-06:00

While we DO accept cash, we’d prefer that you pay with a card if you can. We accept debit cards, all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

What do you charge for security deposit?2019-11-07T04:36:19-06:00

We charge a minimum of one night’s fee as a deposit which is fully refundable until 24 hours before expected arrival. Festival weekends require a 48 hour notice for refunds.

Do you offer storage services?2020-01-23T04:34:19-06:00

While we would LOVE to store RVs as a convenience to our guests, we need to leave our spaces open for weekend and seasonal campers. We will always be happy to help you find accomodtions for your RV while you’re not using it.

How far in advance should I book?2019-11-07T04:39:53-06:00

If you are booking for festival weekends, the sooner, the better. ALL RV parks in Mountain View fill up quickly on festival weekends. Any other time, we usually have plenty of room on a moment’s notice, but try to plan at least 5-7 days in advance if you can.

Do you have festival weekend requirements?2020-01-23T04:27:03-06:00

We do have special festival weekend requirements. Since all RV parks in town fill up quickly for these weekends, we all require a minimum of three nights booked for all festival weekends in the hopes that our guests can enjoy our cozy town as long as possible.

Do you sell propane?2019-11-07T05:14:09-06:00

At this time (fall of 2019), we do not sell propane or firewood. These may be services we will add on in the future, but until then there are a couple of places nearby you can either replace your empty tanks, or have them refilled.

When will the picking shed be open?2019-11-07T05:16:58-06:00

When we first purchased Whitewater RV Park, we decided it would be best to close down the picking shed to do some renovations on it. Due to popular demand, we will keep it open even though it’s sort of under construction until after fall festival is over. Hopefully renovations will be done by spring festival and everyone can enjoy a nice, new place to pick and grin!

Whitewater RV park is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway, or a week long vacation. The 3 acre lot is... situated between two parks perfect for family time. There is a creek nearby with access at the rock amphitheater which was perfect for wading in on hot days. The downtown shopping area and Ozark folk Center are within half a mile away and easy to reach by foot or bike.Pets are more than welcome and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating to the needs of their guests. Tent sites are roomy and located on soft grass providing ultimate comfort. We had absolutely no trouble with wildlife at night. The Park provides water, electricity, and free WiFi for their guests which came in handy on stormy nights. The bathrooms and laundry are easily accessible across the park there is also a gazebo for relaxing and playing music outside as well as the "Pick'n shed" which is perfect for board games, completing puzzles, playing music, and has a projector set up for movies. Camping at Whitewater was a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning and seeing what future changes the Wadley's bring to the park.read more

We camped at Whitewater for several years for long periods of time and made so many friends that we now call family. So... close to the activities up town and you can walk in the walking park. Within walking distance of the swimming pool and frisbee golf. The amphitheater is right behind the park too. Beautiful place. This park is in a very good location and is a good clean place to stay.read more

A nice and convenient place to stay. The park had everything needed and it was quiet and clean. We only stayed 2... nights but would like to go back for a longer stay. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I couldn't pickup any over the air tv, not really the parks fault, they have cable that requires a cable box hook up. For 2 days I didn't bother to try it. I would definitely recommend this park to others.read more

The owner kindly stayed open to accommodate our late arrival without reservation. She even personally chose the... perfect campsite for my daughter and myself! Safe, soft place for our tent and close to all amenities. Can't tell you how much two weary wanderers appreciated her excellent service and well maintained facilities.read more
